Press Release - Crawford City Pool

City of Crawford staff and City Council wish to advise the public on the plans moving forward in determining the future of our community pool. It is the city’s intent to do everything we can to provide the public with a functioning pool. We are engaging the services of professionals to provide ground imaging and engineering services to gather the data needed to make appropriate decisions regarding the future of the pool and enable us to provide factual information to the public. Ground imaging is being coordinated and is slated to occur the week of July 8th with the intent of determining if they can provide imaging to assist in our decision-making process. The imaging company conveyed that if they cannot  provide the needed data, there will be no charge. We have also engaged JEO and Associates engineering firm, and we anticipate the preliminary site visit to be after the holiday week to determine if they can be of assistance regarding the pool. We intend on using the grant money set aside for the pool for this much-needed engineering report to determine the viability or lack thereof regarding the future of our pool. Once we have that information gathered to make the appropriate decisions, a town hall meeting will be scheduled and we encourage all to attend.
